The CCSI-SARE 3-Day Soil Health Training is now open for registration.
Attendees will learn to teach others about soil health, its importance and diagnosis, along with practices to improve soil health. Soil pit observations and other soil health demonstrations will be taught. Target audience for this training includes ICP staff, farmer-mentors, agronomists and other ag professionals. Completion of CCSI-SARE Intro to Soil Health Training or undergraduate level soils course required.
This Course satisfies the requirements for the “Soil Health and Sustainability Training”, NRCS Conservation Planning Policy course NRCS-NHQ-LOCAL-000004. This course is required for planners working to obtain ‘Apprentice’ or ‘Certified’ Conservation Planner designations. More information on NRCS Conservation Planning policy can be found in NRCS General Manual, Title 180, Part 409.
